Redhill Bay Wetlands Restoration Project - Salton Sea

Redhill Bay Wetland Restoration Pilot
Redhill Bay is the first of the Salton Sea Projects included in GELF's General Plan. This is a selenium removal system cleansing selenium from the Alamo River before it enters the wetlands at Redhill Bay. Redhill Bay Broke ground in 2016. The project consists of 420 acres of constructed wetlands. The water feeding the wetlands is agricultural return flow from the Alamo River. The capacity of the selenium treatment system is 5000 gallons per minute. The proposed timeframe for this project to start is August 2017.
